Is it ok to go Wakeboarding if I’m only 14 weeks pregnant??

I love wakeboarding and I’m going in a few weeks and I’ll only be 14 weeks pregnant is it ok to do it, as long as I don’t do any jumps or tricks that will make me biff it hard?
Oh just incase people don’t know what wakeboarding is its a watersport kind of like slolum skiing only your strapped to a bigger board sideways, kind of like snowboarding on the water.

That isn’t a good idea. I know it’s going to be tough to be pregnant over the summer, I’m gonna have to do it too. Anyway, God forbid something bad happened and you fell or hit something… this could be terrible news for your baby. Just don’t risk it, a life is more important than a day of fun. :)

i would say a hard impact to the water would not be good. I wanted to go snowmobilling around 14 weeks they said no.

Er. NO. Could be very dangerous. You are not totally in control therefore it could end in tears.

I would check with your family doctor. I wouldn’t do it, just incase, because you never know what might happen.

Yeah and what happens when you accidentally fall and your stomach hits the water? It’s not a gentle sport and things can happen. I really wouldn’t risk it. Wait until next year and pick it back up as exercise. Plus your ligaments are probably already starting to soften up and you could cause yourself an injury way more easily than if you weren’t pregnant.

Try swimming or walking, good exercises while pregnant!!!

If you don’t want to lose the baby, stay away from sports that have potential to make you fall. Hitting the water at high speed would be enough to make you miscarry. Its only 9 months and then your free to do whatever you want again. You have to take extra procautions to protect your baby.
