im thinking of taking wakeboarding lessons but i need to know what i should do right now to in order to prepare for wakeboarding as in should i mostly workout my upper body? or my lower? any tips would be great, thanks in advance
more upper, the lower isnt too bad once u get up but the upper will get sore after awhile from holding onto the rope, best advice to getting up is sit back on ur back kinda, tighten ur abs, have ur front foot sitting way out of the water, have ur elbows bent and once u feel it start to take u put ur arms out, dont pull back on the rope when ur getting up as u’ll face plant like i did the 1st 28 times i tried. after u get up its pretty easy from there!

i love wakeboarding, it’s something i’ve always liked to do. i’m a 15 year old girl, and i have a back roll, almost a tantrum and working on my 360. i wanna try going pro someday, but there aren’t a lot of competitions where i live, and i also don’t ride that frequently. i ride a lot in the summer, but after that it is not often because of the weather. tips and advice on how to become better, and how to get in more competitions?
as far as lack of competitions goes, try talking to a local sports shop to help you get one organized, many times that is a successful route the very first time… go in there with a list of people who’d ride in it and talk to some other businesses to ask if theyd held sponsor it…

I know the three sections and everything to begin with but yesterday i had a wakeboarding lesson. The instructures told me everthing but i just couldn’t get up and actually stand up. I am thinking of having enother lesson but is there any tips you can give me
pulling the rope to your hips and straightening your legs wont get the job done. you need to be in a compact squated position doing a stomach crunch as the boat moves. you need to be patient and not try to stand up or you will push the board forward and you will fall backward. forget everything and let the instructor teach you. if you cant get up then, then he should refund your money!

im a newbie basically and i hav plenty of leg stength and my arms do pretty good but its killer on my back. any tips on stuff i can do 2 strenghten it? or different ways 2 ride.
Try changing how your stance is on the board. Duck the binding in a few degrees and see if that helps.

I have been wakeboarding for a couple of years now, and am very dissapointed with myself. All I manage to do is an indy and some other little trick I cannot remember the name of…
Any tips on how to succeed in doing intermediate tricks such as a backroll or anything similar?
Any tricks I should try?
Check out http://www.wakeworld.com/TrickList/TrickTips.asp and also check out the forums on wakeworld.com. They’re usually pretty helpful and you can ask your own questions to other members.
And try ollieng and some spins, start off with 180s and 360s. And for first inverts try backrolls and tantrums.
